When preparing to board your pet, there are a few things that we suggest or require you to bring and some items we do not allow. Please read through the information below and feel free to call us with any questions.
Please use a single sandwich bag for each of your pet’s meals. We have limited storage space, DO NOT send large bags or containers of food, we will send them back with you. Please keep in mind that we feed all animals in our care twice daily. If you only feed once at home, please split that amount into two bags. We don’t want your dog to feel left out at feeding times. If you don’t send food (or enough food) we will supply food for an additional fee.
We do accept cooked and canned food that requires refrigeration. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT raw meats due to the risk of food borne illnesses from handling it.
Write your pet's name on every can label, NOT THE LID, these are thrown away after opening. If you are sending a plastic storage container, please use the smallest possible size, space is limited in our refrigerator. Keep in mind, all cooked food should be consumed within 5 days to prevent spoilage. If your pet will be staying longer, send additional containers to be stored in the freezer. We do not accept responsibility for damage or loss to personal property brought into the facility. Please do not send anything of significant or sentimental value.
All medications must be brought in their original bottle with the pet's name and prescription label. We will get verbal instructions from you at check in to verify which medications are to be administered and when. . If your pet needs a specific medication on a specific day, such as monthly flea preventative, bring the single dose in a sandwich bag with their name, your last name, and the date to be administered clearly written on the bag. WE DO NOT PROVIDE BOARDING FOR DIABETIC PETS.
DO NOT PUT MEDICATIONS IN FOOD OR TREATS. We cannot be certain that your pet received their medication when it is mixed in with their meal, wrapped in cheese, peanut butter, Pill Pockets, etc. You are welcome to send these items and we will conceal the medication at the time of administration .
We do not charge for administering most medications, up to 3 individual pills at a time, up to twice daily. Additional fees apply for pet(s) requiring more than 3 medications at a time or more frequently than two times a day. Additional fees may apply for some medical treatments such as topical cleansers or ointments, eye drops applied in a series requiring time in between, slurries, medicated shampoo, or if your pet requires special handling to administer medications and treatments. WE DO NOT PROVIDE BOARDING FOR DIABETIC PETS.
We do not take any food/water bowls from home. We use appropriately size stainless steel bowls for water and sanitize them daily. Food bowls are collected and sanitized after every feeding.
We do not accept any beds, blankets, towels, clothing or similar items from home. We provide clean bedding each day to the pets in our care. Animals ingesting toys, treats, and bedding are at risk for impaction which is potentially life-threatening. We will remove all bedding if we find any evidence of chewing or tearing.

When entering and exiting the building, all pets must be safely restrained. Dogs must be in a carrier or wear a properly fitted collar with a leash no greater than 6' in length. If you use a retractable leash YOU MUST KEEP IT LOCKED so that it doesn't extend more than 6' from your hand. You are personally liable for any injury or damaged caused by the use of a flexible leash. All cats must be brought in a secure carrier and cannot be allowed loose in the lobby. Please write your last name and your cat's name on the carrier.
We do not take litter or litter boxes from home. We supply an appropriately sized litter box with absorbent medium for every condo. Each morning, we remove the litter box, discard all contents, sanitize, refill and replace it.
You are welcome to send teaser wands, soft toys, treats, etc. We ask that you leave larger toys and scratching posts at home. Toys and other personal items may become damaged, lost, or destroyed, please keep in mind that we do not take responsibility for personal items brought to the facility.
All small animals and exotic pets are to have their housing provided by the owner. Please make sure that the cage or enclosure is secure and comfortably size for their stay. Please provide all food and water dishes. If your pet’s enclosure requires bedding, please bring a little more than enough for their stay.
Please consider your pet’s specific needs when preparing for their stay. Small animals and exotic pets can become stressed in new environments, we want their stay to be as pleasant as possible.
Please don’t forget to pack the miscellaneous items that will help them feel comfortable such as covers for bird cages, heat lamps for reptiles, enough hay for rabbits and guinea pigs, a sign that says “Don’t touch, I may bite” for large parrots, and maybe a dust bath for chinchillas.
Please call us if you have questions about preparing for their stay or our ability to accommodate their needs.
